Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has issued a strong warning to Nigerian youths against attempting to snatch ballot boxes during the 2027 general election.

Chinyere said the 2027 election would not be like previous elections, stressing that Nigerians were tired of electoral violence and manipulation.

He warned youths who may attempt to disrupt voting by taking ballot boxes that they could face deadly consequences, while declaring that the era of ballot box snatching should come to an end.

The cleric also questioned why Nigerian youths continue to allow politicians to use them to carry out acts that could put their lives at risk.

He pointed out that many politicians have children living abroad and challenged them to bring their own children back to Nigeria if they want young people to engage in dangerous electoral activities on their behalf.

Chinyere urged Nigerians to reject political manipulation and avoid allowing themselves to be used by politicians during elections.

His remarks come ahead of the 2027 general election, with concerns about electoral violence, voter intimidation and disruption of the voting process remaining major issues in Nigeria.

While many Nigerians face rising hardship under President Bola Tinubu. Food prices stay high. Transport costs bite hard. Jobs remain scarce for young people. Insecurity continues in many states with killings, kidnappings and attacks on villages and highways.

Across cities and towns, Tinubu must go protests keep drawing crowds. Marchers blame the government for empty pockets, unsafe roads and broken promises. Some carry placards calling for change before the next election. Police have met several of the gatherings with warnings and arrests.

The cleric’s message focused on the need for young Nigerians to protect their lives and participate in elections peacefully rather than risk their lives for politicians.
