The Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) has criticized Senator Abdul’aziz Yar’Adua for his response to the Kaduna bombing incident.

Senator Yar’Adua had described the drone attack as an honest mistake, advising against the resignation of the Chief of Army Staff and suggesting that the Muslim community should inform the government of large gatherings for better security, NN News Media learnt.

The CNG, in a statement, condemned Yar’Adua’s lack of compassion, pity, and empathy towards the affected community. They accused him of blaming the attack on the bereaved community while absolving the military.

The group argued that Yar’Adua’s comments were insensitive, self-serving, and irresponsible, especially during a period of mourning.

The CNG emphasized that leaders should display empathy and sensitivity during times of crisis instead of causing further pain to affected families.

They asserted that Yar’Adua’s remarks were driven by a desire for favors from the Senate leadership at the expense of innocent lives in the northern region. The group called for elected officials to demonstrate understanding and sensitivity, particularly in times of crisis, and unite to prevent such attacks from recurring.
