Anambra state government is set to commission all new Awka City Stadium.
FIFA-standard stadium, along with the Anambra International Convention Centre and the Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport, Umueri are some of the projects executed by the administration of the executive governor of the state, Mr Willie Obiano
According to ABS News, Anambra Academicals Cup, an annual football tournament among schools in the state, is currently taking place in the stadium as part of the commissioning of the project.
