Jamilu Sufi, a popular Nigerian politician has taken to his official Twitter handle to say that, time has come for Nigerians to put sentiment, tribalism and popularity aside and choose a leader who will change the future of Nigeria.

According to Jamilu, he and other members of the all Progressive Congress (APC) are ready to resign their membership to campaign for the former governor of Anambra State.

He said, “It is time we put sentiment, tribalism and popularity aside and choose a leader who will change our future. @PeterObi I invite you to visit Zamfara @OfficialPDPNig delegates, we will resign our APC membership to campaign for you free of charge. We don’t need your money”.

Peter Obi who is a frontline aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party is currently trending on Twitter and Facebook as millions of Nigerian youths are calling on PDP to allow Obi to fly the party’s flag come 2023.

Though, polls conducted by independent organizations have placed Peter Obi ahead of other presidential contestants.

Later this month, Obi will be slugging it out with other political gladiators of PDP with deep pockets for the party’s presidential ticket.
