In a signed statement, the Secretary of the NNMA, Mr Namadi Ibrahim, noted that the said organizations are craftily using the award name, logo to defraud innocent people. He said, “The attention of the Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA) has been drawn to publication by some unscrupulous organizations who are parading themselves as a committee of the Nigerian National Merit Award and are in the process of conferring awards on some unsuspecting Nigerians. The organization is also requesting money from those to be awarded.” (Daily Trust)
