Peter Obi and Labour Party, pre hearing session of Presidential Election Petition Tribunal challenging the President-elect Bola Tinubu and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been adjourned.

Justice Haruna Tsammani, the tribunal chairman, announced the adjournment of the pre-hearing session till Wednesday urging all parties to file necessary applications and clarify issues before next hearing.

The PEPT which commenced pre-hearing on Monday has already seen the dismissal of one the petitions – Action Alliance vs INEC and others, after the petitioner moved a motion to withdraw the petition from the tribunal. 

The tribunal will resume on Tuesday to commence the pre-hearing sessions of two other petitions: Allied Peoples Movement (APM) vs INEC and others as well as Atiku Abubakar vs INEC and others.
