The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, is dead.

Ibrahim died peacefully in the early hours of Sunday, October 29, 2023, at the age of 94.

In a chat with TheCable, a family member of the monarch said he passed away around 2 a.m. at a hospital in Abuja. Also, one of his sons, Abubakar Ado Ibrahim, confirmed his father’s demise to the news platform.

A palace source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said arrangements are currently being made to move the late monarch’s body to Okene, where he will be laid to rest.

Ibrahim, born on February 7, 1929, was the fourth Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, a traditional state headquartered in Okene, Kogi State.

The deceased monarch assumed the office of Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in 1997 after the death of the former Ohinoyi, Sanni Omolori.

Ibrahim attended Ondo Boys High School and Oduduwa College for his secondary education.

He obtained a B.Sc in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1954 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1959.
