The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said it has started investigation over the pre-recorded results sheet discovered in some polling units across Kogi State.

YIAGA Africa, a civil society organization, had earlier raised concern over the allocation of scores to political parties even before voting is concluded.

Some of the results show the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Usman Ododo, getting the highest scores.

But the electoral body, in a statement on its X handle, said top officials of the commission deployed to the state have been instructed to investigate the incidents.

The statement reads, “Our attention has been drawn to a report that filled result sheets were discovered in some polling units in Kogi State.

“The Commission views this situation seriously.

“Our senior officials deployed to the state are currently investigating the incident[s] The Commission will communicate its decision earnestly”.
