The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued Certificates of Return to the three winners of the off-cycle governorship election conducted on November 11 in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States.

The recipients of the Certificates include the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Imo and Kogi States respectively, incumbent Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma, and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, of Kogi State.

The Bayelsa State deputy governor and Diri’s running mate, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, also received his certificate of return, as well as Imo State deputy governor and running mate to Governor Uzodinma, Chinyere Ekomaru, and Kogi State deputy governor and running mate to Ododo in the election, Joel Salifu.
