The Plateau State Police Command has officially acknowledged the apprehension of multiple suspects linked to the tragic events that unfolded in Barkin Ladi and Bokkos Local Government Areas on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023.
This announcement was made by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Alfred Alabo, during a statement given to Leadership in Jos, the state capital, on Thursday night.
While providing initial information, the Police spokesperson refrained from divulging specific details regarding the arrests, assuring the public that a formal statement would be released this Friday.
The horrifying incident, which commenced on Christmas Eve and persisted through Christmas Day, resulted in over 200 casualties, the displacement of thousands, and the destruction of numerous homes across the two local councils.
