ADC lawyer confronts APC figure over blank school records and past false claims in heated TV clashAfrican Democratic Congress chieftain and lawyer Kalu Kalu appeared on Channels Television Politics Today on Thursday and accused President Bola Tinubu of submitting forged academic documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission in previous election cycles.

He pointed to the recently published 2027 personal particulars in which Tinubu listed a university degree from Chicago State University yet left the primary and secondary school sections blank.

Kalu stated that the Nigerian Constitution disqualifies any person who presents a forged certificate to INEC from contesting the presidency. He asserted that Tinubu submitted forged certificates in 1999 and again in 2023.

Specifically he claimed that in 1999 Tinubu deposed under oath that he attended Saint Pauls Primary School in Ibadan a claim Kalu declared false. He dared Tinubu his handlers and Babatunde Ogala SAN to deny the assertion on national television.

The lawyer insisted the controversy has moved beyond mere allegation into established fact that Tinubu possesses neither a primary school certificate nor a secondary school certificate. He challenged the president to produce both documents publicly so the matter can end.

Kalu further noted that no court in Nigeria or abroad has delivered a judgment on the merits of the alleged forgery and perjury.

He traced the issue back to 1999 when the late Gani Fawehinmi first raised questions a case that reached the Supreme Court but was dismissed on technical grounds. The matter resurfaced during the 2023 election and has returned with the 2027 filings.

Kalu concluded that the repeated controversy damages the office of the president and the political system and therefore Tinubu should resign and leave office without further delay.

During the same programme host Seun Okinbaloye pressed Ogala the former APC national legal adviser for details of Tinubus educational background and work history.

Ogala declined saying the president himself would answer such questions and dismissed opposition claims as stories cooked up to win votes. The exchange has intensified political debate ahead of the next general election.
