Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communication to former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has applauded the suspension of Minister Betta Edu but asserts that it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The scandal involves the transfer of N585.2 million into a civil servant’s private account meant for grants for Vulnerable Nigerians.

Shaibu questions the competence of Edu’s appointment, pointing out the lack of experience and questionable political connections. He brings to light additional leaks, revealing large sums allocated to a company owned by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and emphasizes the need for a comprehensive probe beyond Edu.

The aide exposes systemic corruption within the APC government, using humanitarian programs as a cover for embezzlement. He highlights the ongoing probe of the previous minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq, and urges immediate reforms in the ministry to address the misuse of funds.

Shaibu further scrutinizes the SDG Programme led by Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, revealing corruption allegations against Tinubu’s goddaughter. He calls for a thorough investigation into all developmental projects and condemns the arbitrary distribution of funds and food, stressing the need for a transparent framework.

As the scandal unfolds, Atiku’s aide emphasizes the urgency of addressing corruption to prevent the exploitation of vulnerable Nigerians, branding the current situation as the “height of evil” in government actions.
