The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, finds himself entangled in a certificate forgery controversy, as the Ondo State Redemption Initiative (OSRI) alleges discrepancies in his academic credentials.

OSRI, led by Pastor Adebayo Ogunsanmi, Jide Oriola, and Sunday Ayeni, claims that Aiyedatiwa’s Advanced Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Ibadan in 2001 is forged. They assert that their investigation revealed that the University did not offer such a program at that time.

According to the group, Aiyedatiwa further asserted that he became an alumnus of Lagos Business School, Pan Atlantic University, without specifying the year and course of study. Additionally, he claimed to have obtained a Post Graduate Certification in Chief Executive Education (CEP) in Business Management, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Liverpool in the UK in 2013.

Reacting to the allegations, Chief Press Secretary Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan dismissed them as baseless and an attempt to tarnish the governor’s reputation. He emphasized that the claims were false and suggested that they were part of a larger political agenda to discredit Governor Aiyedatiwa.

As the controversy unfolds, the governor staunchly denies the allegations, while OSRI stands firm in their accusations, creating a tense situation that could have far-reaching implications for the political landscape in Ondo State.
