Labour party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, took to his X handle to celebrate the 54th birthday of Former Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Paul Ryan.
In a heartfelt message, Obi acknowledged Ryan’s exemplary leadership and shared insights into the politician’s dedication to public service.
In his X handle tribute, Obi highlighted Ryan’s unique approach to his role as Speaker, noting that he chose to sleep in his office rather than the official palatial suite in the Capitol. Quoting Ryan, Obi emphasized the efficiency gained through such practices, stating, “It actually makes me more efficient. I can actually get more work done by sleeping on a cot in my office. I have been doing it for at least a decade, and I’m going to keep doing it.”
