In a shocking revelation on Saturday, a presiding officer overseeing a polling unit in Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State was apprehended with pre-filled results sheets.

The local government is a crucial area for candidates like Hon Dennis Agbo of the Labour Party, Mr. Simon Atigwe of the People’s Democratic Party, and Dr. Oby Aji of the All Progressives Congress.

This incident occurred during a rerun election prompted by the nullification of Hon Dennis Agbo’s previous victory. The nullification was a consequence of the omission of the APC logo in the results sheets across 166 polling units within the constituency.

In a widely circulated video, the presiding officer identified as Rolland Ugwuja, responsible for the Igogoro unit, admitted to possessing pre-filled results sheets, alleging that they were provided by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The revelation raises serious concerns about the integrity of the electoral process and demands a thorough investigation into the involvement of INEC officials in such irregularities.
