The monarch of Onicha Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, HRM Obi Chukwumalieze, has instilled confidence among residents by pledging imminent resolution to the challenges posed by Fulani herdsmen in the town.

During a gathering at his palace, attended by both Ogbekenu locals and non-indigenous members, Obi Chukwumalieze urged patience from the community, assuring them that the issue of Fulani herdsmen would soon be effectively addressed.

Following the tragic killing of Mr. Ifeanyi Izeke by the herdsmen, the Obi-in-council has been actively engaged in discussions with security agencies, devising strategies to safely remove them from the community without further endangering lives.

The monarch also urged the youth to refrain from violence, emphasizing the necessity of a peaceful atmosphere to achieve the desired outcome.

Adding his voice, Iyase Agba, Chief Alex Odi-Okoh, urged residents to share any information regarding the whereabouts of the herdsmen with the Obi-in-council, recalling past successful efforts to drive them away from residential areas.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace to expedite the process of removing the herdsmen from the community.

Several community members, including Mr. Afedi Odozi, Mr. Augustine Asimonye, Mrs. Elizabeth Ijeli, and Miss Uche Jesu, echoed the sentiment, urging the monarch and his council to persevere until the Fulani herdsmen are completely removed from the forests and farmlands.
