Condolences in Rivers State

In Ubiama, Rivers State, Obi joined Former Governor of Rivers State and his elder brother, Celestine Omehia, as well as Omehia’s friends and associates, to bid farewell to Ezinne Cecilia Omehia, Omehia’s beloved late mother. Obi sincerely condoled with Omehia and the entire Omehia family, acknowledging that Mama lived a good life and left behind legacies of peace and love. He described her as a strong disciplinarian and a devout Christian, as evidenced by the lives of her children.

Tribute in Imo State

From Rivers State, Obi travelled to Mbaise in Imo State to pay his last respects to the Former Minister of Education, Prof Fabian Osuji, who was laid to rest that day. Obi described Osuji as an illustrious Nigerian who contributed immensely to the development of the country, especially in the area of education. Obi condoled the Osuji family and urged them to uphold the good legacies their father left behind.

Obi prayed that God Almighty would grant Ezinne Cecilia Omehia and Prof Fabian Osuji eternal rest, and also grant the Omehia and Osuji families, as well as all Nigerians, the fortitude to bear their irreplaceable loss. He also prayed for God’s continued protection and blessings upon the families.
