The Labour Party has announced the creation of a new directorate specifically for the OBIdients movement.

The party has promised to appoint a director next week to oversee the administration of this new directorate, which will focus on registering OBIdient supporters both in Nigeria and abroad.

In a statement, Barr. Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, explained that the director would be responsible for overseeing the registration process and ensuring that the army of OBIdients is properly integrated into the party.

Abure emphasized that the newly created directorate would take into account the most visible OBIdients to drive the registration process forward.

The Labour Party chairman also highlighted the challenge of ensuring that Nigerians receive good governance. To this end, he called for a partnership between the party and the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), under the leadership of President Joe Ajaero.

Abure stated that the Labour movement should not engage in fighting the party but rather join hands to build a strong structure that will propel the party to national political leadership and governance.

The creation of this new directorate underscores the Labour Party’s commitment to engaging with the OBIdients movement and harnessing their support to achieve its political goals.
