Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Mr. Peter Obi, shared insights on improving healthcare access at the 6th Public Lecture of the Board of Fellows, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.

Speaking on the topic, “Accessing Quality Medicines in an Unstable Environment,” Obi emphasized the importance of ensuring that every Nigerian has access to high-quality medicines, even amidst challenging conditions.

In a country that perpetually seeks a messiah to address its myriad challenges, I’ve been heartened by the support of young, social media-savvy Nigerians who have elevated me to a position of influence. They refer to themselves as the “Coconut-head generation,” characterized by their strong-willed, independent mindset and their disdain for older politicians who they believe have done little for them.

“Together, we all will achieve a New Nigeria where everyone’s health matters,” Obi stated, underscoring his vision for a better healthcare system for all citizens.
