C Spire has withdrawn its advertising from the Paris Olympics in response to a performance during the opening ceremony that it deemed a mockery of the Last Supper.

The telecommunications company expressed its shock over the portrayal, which involved drag queens and dancers, and stated that it found the act offensive.

C Spire’s CEO, Suzy Hays, emphasized the company’s support for athletes but clarified that they could not associate with what they considered unacceptable mockery of a significant religious event.

The decision has garnered support from Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves, who praised the company’s stance against perceived disrespect towards Christianity
