Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, has firmly stated that he has no intention of leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

During a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, Wike declared that despite the challenges within the party, he remains resolute in his commitment to fight from within.

Refuting speculation about a possible defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wike emphasized his transparent approach to politics. “I don’t do anything in secret,” he said, adding that he has no plans to abandon the PDP, even in the face of internal opposition.

“I don’t run away from any fight. I will stay in the PDP and fight it out. Who am I going to run from? The vampires?” Wike defiantly stated.

He further elaborated on his stance, recalling how he openly opposed the PDP’s presidential candidate in the past. “People should know you for something. Integrity is very important,” he remarked, dismissing critics and reinforcing his image as a politician unafraid to stand his ground.
