Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general election, has named Ibrahim Umar as the new spokesperson for the Peter Obi Media Reach (POMR).

The announcement was made by Yunusa Tanko, the outgoing spokesman of the POMR, in a statement on Sunday. Tanko has recently been appointed as the interim National Coordinator of the Obedient Movement.

Describing Umar, Tanko said, “He is a computer media analyst and a graduate of Bayero University Kano (BUK). Hailing from Wase in Plateau State, Umar is a dedicated member of the Obi-Datti Media Group and a committed supporter from North Central.”

Commenting on his new role, Umar expressed that Tanko’s appointment would allow him to lead the Obedient Movement’s activities both nationally and internationally.

“We urge the public to support these individuals in their new roles as we continue our mission to challenge the entrenched political interests holding our nation hostage,” Umar stated.
