Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has urged Labour Party (LP) supporters in Edo State to vigilantly protect their votes during the upcoming governorship election on September 21.

Otti, who campaigned alongside Olumide Akpata, the Labour Party’s governorship candidate, during rallies in Benin, emphasized that the party would not allow any manipulation of its votes.

Expressing confidence in Edo’s support for LP, Otti said his presence in the state was to encourage citizens to safeguard their votes.

“In Abia State, we didn’t sleep for four days. If you sleep, they will steal your votes,” Otti cautioned. He advised the youth to remain at polling units after voting to ensure votes are secured and properly counted.

He also urged supporters to follow the voting process closely, from polling units to ward, local government, and state collation centers.

The governor expressed full confidence in Akpata and his running mate, Yusuf Kadiri, calling them the ideal team to lead Edo State forward.
