Nigerians have taken to social media to express their discontent with Oluwayemi Yemi Adenuga, a Nigerian-Irish politician, following her exclusion from the Fine Gael candidacy for the Meath West constituency in the upcoming Irish General Election.

Many have advised her to return to Nigeria and support the government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whom she previously endorsed as president.

Adenuga, who had previously expressed excitement about her potential candidacy and thanked her supporters, now faces backlash from fellow Nigerians. Many accuse her of backing a corrupt Nigerian government while seeking political office in Ireland where democracy is respected.

Following her electoral loss, critics called on Adenuga to “come back home” and serve the same administration she supported in Nigeria, adding fuel to the ongoing debate about her political loyalties.

She refused to address the issues raised by his people hence they washed her dirty linen online. Try again next time but distance yourself from corrupt people if you are to do anything meaningful abroad.
