Alex Onyia, CEO of Educare, Africa’s premier education technology platform, recently issued a powerful statement on his X handle regarding the educational needs of children in Alaigbo.
Following a meeting of Ndi’Igbo, the group unanimously agreed that every child in Alaigbo must be in school within the next 12 months.
Onyia emphasized the importance of community involvement, urging individuals to take the lead in their local areas.
He stated, “If you are from Alaigbo and displaying your wealth while children in your community remain uneducated, you are a fool.”
Onyia further urged community members to redirect their financial resources away from indulgences such as alcohol for young men and instead invest in local schools and children.
He encouraged a new sense of pride centered around the number of children educated through individual efforts, declaring, “Let the new pride be on the number of people getting educated because of you!”
