Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has officially approved an increase in the minimum wage to N80,000 for all state government employees.

Announcing this via his X (formerly Twitter) handle, the governor expressed his enthusiasm for this significant development aimed at enhancing the welfare of the state’s workforce.

“We’ve also established an implementation committee to ensure the seamless rollout of this new wage structure,” Governor Eno added. “A report from the committee is expected within a month.”

The wage increase underscores the governor’s commitment to improving working conditions and the overall wellbeing of government employees in Akwa Ibom State.
