Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah took to his official X handle to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Onwe Adetshina.
The beauty queen, who is also a Brand Ambassador for Enugu State, emerged as the 1st Runner-Up at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant held in Mexico.
“Congratulations to Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Onwe Adetshina, a beloved daughter and Brand Ambassador of Enugu State, on emerging as the 1st Runner-Up at the Miss Universe 2024 Pageant in Mexico,” Governor Mbah wrote.
He praised Chidimma’s journey and performance, calling it a testament to the resilience, brilliance, and determination that characterize the people of Enugu, known as Ndi Enugu.
“Chidimma has made Enugu and Nigeria shine brightly on the world stage, and we couldn’t be prouder. On behalf of the people of Enugu State, I say congratulations, Chidimma—keep soaring to even greater heights!” the governor concluded.
Adetshina’s success has been met with widespread admiration, reinforcing her status as a source of pride for both Enugu State and Nigeria.
