The Islamic State in West Africa Province (ISWAP) has executed the traditional leader of Malam Boulamari in the Diffa region of Niger Republic.

The extremist group released images documenting the brutal act, showcasing the summary execution of the village head.

This execution is believed to be part of ISWAP’s sustained campaign of terror targeting local authorities and civilians accused of cooperating with government forces or security agencies.

The Diffa region, situated near the borders of Nigeria and Chad, remains a critical hotspot for insurgent activities. Both ISWAP and Boko Haram frequently launch attacks against villages, humanitarian workers, and security personnel in this volatile area.
