Controversial Nigerian clergyman, Chukwuemeka Ohanemere, better known as Odumeje, has harshly criticized the administration of General Bola Tinubu, calling it the “worst” in Nigeria’s history.

Speaking to his congregation on Friday, Odumeje expressed disappointment over Nigerians’ passivity in the face of the severe economic challenges brought about by Tinubu’s policies. He accused the president and his close associates of enjoying the nation’s wealth while ordinary Nigerians continue to suffer.

Odumeje said, “The government is bragging when there is nothing they have offered to this nation. The current administration of General Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the worst government Nigeria has ever had.”

He expressed discontent with the apparent silence on social media regarding the economic struggles, stating, “I’m disappointed with all of us, Nigerians, for allowing this person to be suffering us and increasing economic hardship. He and his family are enjoying the money that belongs to everybody, and we are keeping quiet on social media.”

Odumeje also revealed his plans to run for president in 2027, stating that he would seek divine approval before proceeding. “He is my fellow man, but he has nothing to offer. We only live once. That’s why I tell you, this presidential seat, 2027, I will use power, and I’m coming out for it. When I’m done consulting God and I come out for the presidency, nobody can occupy the seat.”

Odumeje’s comments have ignited a firestorm of debate regarding the leadership of General Tinubu and the political future of Nigeria.
