The publisher of NN News Media, Nkiruka Nistoran, has accused the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Amupitan, of planning to rig the FCT council election in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

NN News Media reported that the election is ongoing in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.

In a post shared on her X account, Nistoran strongly criticised the INEC chairman. She said he is damaging Nigeria’s democracy and described his actions as “genocide” against the country’s democratic system.

She also claimed that the FCT council election is being delayed on purpose so the results can be changed in favour of the APC.
