Zainab Buba Galadima a former member of the All Progressives Congress who visited Malam El Rufai house just last week opened up on the popular Mic On podcast and shared some serious details that are now making waves across the country. She sat down with serving senators from the All Progressives Congress right there in the house. She asked them straight how the All Progressives Congress was doing these days. The senators looked completely worn out and replied that they were tired. She pressed further and said so you guys are also seeing everything that is happening in the country right now. They answered yes without any hesitation.

She told the host with full confidence that she can guarantee most members of the All Progressives Congress are not happy with the party at all. They are only staying because of one form of convenience or the other that still benefits them for now.

The host listened carefully and described the situation as some kind of implosion happening inside the house. From the outside the All Progressives Congress still looks very populated and it appears strong and popular within its own circles. But inside everything feels completely different and the party is slowly sinking.

Zainab agreed and pointed out that what the public sees from far away is totally different from the real picture on the ground. She even suggested there could be fifth columnists quietly working inside the rank and file of the All Progressives Congress.

To drive her point home she gave a clear example from Kano state. Some politicians there were promised automatic tickets for the coming elections. At the same time other people were busy conversing and consulting with different groups because of their big ambitions for governorship and other top positions.

She specifically mentioned the deputy senate president. He has been doing very well and building solid support for his own governorship ambition. Then suddenly the governor decided to decamp and switch parties. That single move shot down the whole pocket of support and ruined their plans.

Now the people they met inside the All Progressives Congress are not happy with them at all. The governor may bring money to the table but nobody trusts him anymore. They do not even trust each other so there is no way they will work hard for him. In the end they simply will not support his efforts.

She added that even within the All Progressives Congress there are different factions pulling in different directions. The governor has already moved to the African Democratic Congress and he is now fully aligned with Kwankwaso. The host simply responded with yeah to show he followed every bit of what she was saying.

This inside story from Zainab Buba Galadima who was actually in the room with All Progressives Congress senators is raising fresh questions about how united the ruling party really is ahead of future elections. Many are now wondering if the cracks are deeper than they appear from the outside.
