The leadership of the African Democratic Congress in Ebonyi State has strongly dismissed all rumors of defection by its top members.

They are urging every party supporter from South East to stay calm, united, and focused on building a stronger democracy in Nigeria.

In a clear statement released on Saturday in Abakaliki, the State Chairman of the party, Dr. Mrs. Jennifer Adibe Nwafor, called the circulating rumors completely false. She said they are designed only to create division and weaken the party from inside.

These rumors have spread as political parties across Nigeria begin to reposition themselves ahead of coming elections. Despite the noise, the ADC in Ebonyi remains fully intact.

Dr. Nwafor reassured all members that the state leadership is solid and fully committed to the partys goal of rebuilding Nigeria through honest and credible democratic processes. She stressed that this is the time for everyone to stay peaceful, think progressively, and hold the party together more than ever before.

The chairman made it clear that no leader of the ADC in Ebonyi State has left the party. She emphasized that the ADC is determined to provide purposeful leadership and strengthen democratic values across the country. The party will continue to push for leaders who truly represent the wishes and welfare of ordinary Nigerians.

Dr. Nwafor called on all members and supporters to ignore any divisive stories and stay alert against misinformation that could damage party unity. She assured everyone that the leaders are not abandoning the ADC. They are staying to fight for real democracy and to help produce a government that genuinely serves the people.

She urged party members to come together even more closely and increase efforts to mobilize at the grassroots level. This preparation is key as they get ready for future elections. Unity, she said, will be very important to achieve the partys bigger aim of renewing the nation and strengthening democracy.
