The publisher of NN News Media, Nkiruka Nistoran, has announced plans to launch dedicated social media groups aimed at bringing together Igbo people and residents of the South East ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
In a statement shared through his X account, Nistoran revealed that he will soon introduce both an X community and a Facebook group designed for Igbo people living in Nigeria and those in the diaspora. According to her, the initiative is part of a wider effort to begin organizing African Democratic Congress gatherings within different communities before the next presidential election cycle.
Nistoran explained that the goal of the online platforms is to create stronger political coordination among people from the South East region while encouraging wider participation in ADC activities at the grassroots level.
She stressed that the ADC party holds special significance for the Igbo community because it was founded by an Igbo man. She said the region must not turn away from supporting one of its own, adding that unity and loyalty are necessary for the political future of the South East.
Referencing an Igbo proverb, she called on the people to stand together and protect their shared political interests as preparations gradually begin ahead of the 2027 elections.
The planned groups are expected to serve as meeting points for political discussions, community mobilization, and coordination among supporters across different states and countries.
