The Anambra State ICT Agency, under the leadership of MD/CEO Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata, has declared its commitment to pioneering groundbreaking technological initiatives in the coming year. This affirmation came through an official statement released on Friday in Awka.

Agbata, in his message, conveyed the agency’s preparedness for new possibilities in 2024. He urged various ministries, agencies, and departments to embrace technology as a solution to governance challenges, emphasizing its role in fostering accountability, driving progress, and ensuring sustainability across diverse sectors.

“As the agency mandated to drive Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s ‘everything technology and technology everywhere’ vision, we recognize the pivotal role of technology in driving positive change,” stated Agbata.

The MD/CEO highlighted the limitless benefits of technology in unlocking new possibilities, streamlining processes, and ushering in unprecedented growth across sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, governance, and education.

“The journey towards impactful change is a collective effort. Government, parastatals, private sector, communities, and individuals must unite in embracing and harnessing the robust potential of technology,” Agbata emphasized.

Reflecting on Governor Soludo’s 2021 campaign promises, the state ICT agency has already made strides in fulfilling these commitments. The introduction of e-identity cards for civil servants, the automation of budget processes, and the training and empowerment of Anambra youths through the Solution Innovative District (SID) showcase the state’s dedication to technological advancement.

Agbata concluded with a call to action, urging innovators, entrepreneurs, and individuals passionate about a better future to contribute towards leveraging technology as a force for positive transformation. Together, they aim to build a more resilient, inclusive, and forward-looking Anambra on the horizon.
