Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra State has shared his vision of a new city springing up along the recently constructed 26.4-kilometer Amansea-Ntoko-Ndiukwuenu-Awa-Ufuma road, should he secure a second term in office.

This vision was shared during the road’s inauguration, attended by numerous community members connected by this extensive stretch of road.

Governor Soludo emphasized his commitment to building a unified Anambra, regardless of social class, political affiliation, or religious beliefs. He underscored that the All Progressives Grand Alliance’s (APGA) primary goal is to eradicate poverty, aligning with its motto of “be your brother’s keeper”.

The governor fondly remembered the late Mr. Joe Anatune from Awa, who first highlighted the road’s strategic significance. He recalled promising to build the road during Mr. Anatune’s funeral, and emphasized that its completion fulfills this promise.

Governor Soludo highlighted that his administration prioritized areas where he narrowly lost votes, rather than those where he had strong support, focusing on where the need was greatest.

He reminded the attendees that their main request during his campaign was the construction of this road, marking its inauguration as a cause for celebration.

The Transition Committee Chairman for Orumba North, Sir Ogochukwu Ekwueme, expressed the community’s gratitude and ongoing support for the Governor and his team.

Other speakers at the event, including the Traditional Ruler of Awa, Igwe Israel Ezue, and the President Generals of Awa and Ufuma, Chief Raymond Ofor and Rtd. Commodore Clement Ofor respectively, hailed the road project as a promise fulfilled.

The event was graced by various dignitaries, including the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barr. Joachin Anaeto, Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Chukwuma Okoye, and others.
