Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi shared an inspiring message through his X account on October 20th, reflecting on his experience mentoring young Nigerians at the SMFest event in Owerri.

He emphasized that the journey to greatness requires grit, adaptability, and the courage to evolve.

Obi acknowledged the current challenges facing Nigeria but expressed optimism, stating that older generations draw strength from the passion exhibited by the youth. He urged them not to give up, regardless of the obstacles they may encounter in areas such as business, education, and politics.

He encouraged attendees to remain steadfast, suggesting that if necessary, they should reassess their strategies and return stronger. “Success comes to those who stay the course, even in tough times,” he affirmed.

The former candidate expressed hope in the innovative spirit of Nigeria’s youth, believing they will play a pivotal role in transforming the nation into a globally competitive force. Obi reaffirmed his commitment to supporting their growth and championing the change they are driving.

In closing, he proclaimed that a new Nigeria is emerging and is entirely possible if everyone remains dedicated to the cause.
