The supporters of the Labour Party and the Obi-dient and Edeoga-nized youths of Enugu State are currently holding a nonviolent demonstration outside the Enugu office of the Independent National Election Commission (INEC).

According to the Electoral Act of 2023, the organisation is demanding that INEC nullify the overwhelmingly similar votes that the PDP obtained in Nkanu East LGA without implementing the Bi-modal voter accreditation system (BVAS).

The Electoral Act and its implementing regulations stipulate that all national elections must be conducted using the BVAS.

Meanwhile, the Labour Party has petitioned INEC regarding the results of the Nkanu East Local Government Area.
