A recent peace summit held at the Aso Rock Villa, featuring Governor Siminalayi Fubara and former Governor Peter Odili, took an unexpected turn as both leaders declined to sign eight key resolutions put forth by President Bola Tinubu.

The proposed resolutions were intended to address the ongoing political turmoil in Rivers State, specifically the conflict between Governor Fubara’s faction and the camp of his successor and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.

Details emerging from the meeting indicate that both Odili and Fubara refused to endorse the resolutions. Disputing the circulated documents, Engr. Boma Precious Kalama, Special Adviser on Media to the Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, denounced them as false.

He urged Governor Fubara’s supporters to stay focused and discredited the authenticity of the documents disseminated on traditional and social media platforms.

Kalama pointed out a significant discrepancy in Governor Fubara’s pen color, alleging that the sudden switch from red to black exposed the purported agreement as dubious.

He questioned the absence of key signatures, including that of Dr. Peter Odili and Speaker Rt Hon Ehie Edison, and raised doubts about the governor’s supposed reluctance to conduct local government elections.

In a stern rebuke, Kalama declared the circulated documents as “FAKE” and “RUBBISH,” emphasizing that the governor’s signature was falsified. He called for the arrest of the individual responsible for the poor Photoshop job and demanded the return of any funds involved.

Addressing Governor Fubara’s supporters, Kalama emphatically urged them not to accept the circulated documents, dismissing them as “alternative toilet paper” produced at the University of Science and Technology (UST) back gate.
