The family of Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, the former governor of Anambra State, has announced the funeral rites for the late Harvard-trained economist.

The burial ceremony will commence on Friday, 12th April 2024, and will be held in various locations across Nigeria, including Abuja and Anambra State.

The funeral arrangements are as follows:

Friday, 12th April 2024: Service of Songs at the National Christian Center (NCC), Abuja, by 5.00pm prompt.

Saturday, 13th April 2024: Celebration of life and Times of Okwadike @ MKO Abiola National Stadium, Velodrome Parkage, Abuja, by 10 am.

Monday, 15th April 2024: National Night of Tributes for Okwadike @ the Thisday Dome Central Business District, Abuja, by 5pm prompt.

Friday, 19th April 2024:

Lying in State at Government House Awka by 10am.

Tribute on life and Times of Okwadike @International Convention Center Awka by 12pm.

Christian Wake Keep at Okwadike Country Home Igboukwu by 5:00pm.

Saturday, 20th April 2024:

Funeral Church Service by the Salvation Army Church at Igbo-Ukwu by 10am.

Interment follows at Okwadike Country home Igboukwu Anambra State by 1:00pm.

Condolences by Inlaws, Friends, Associates, Groups etc from 2pm.

21st April 2024: Outing Service at the Salvation Army Church Igboukwu by 10:00am.

The family of Dr Ezeife invites everyone to join them in bidding a befitting farewell to their icon and leader. May the soul of Okwadike find rest in God’s vineyard. Amen.
