Gunmen have allegedly stormed Nnobi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra. 

Information gathered by News Express has it that the invasion happened around 8:30 p.m. on Monday (February 7), with two persons feared dead. 

A source who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that the gunmen, suspected to be cultists, stormed the town shooting and moving from one location to another. 

According to a Facebook user, Maxi Ifeoma, who confirmed the incident on his Facebook post about 9pm, “The same gunmen had gunned down two people close to Roban Stores, Nnewi. 

“The corpse of the dead persons are still lying there now,” he said. 

Efforts to reach the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, for confirmation of the incident failed as his telephone number was not accessible.
