At a church service today, Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara, made a bold statement emphasizing that he will not give up his kidney or liver for anyone in the name of loyalty.
He clarified that if such a sacrifice were the measure of loyalty, he would refuse.
Fubara asserted that Rivers State is not owned by any individual or group and cannot be treated as a personal enterprise. He emphasized that no one can oppress him or exert undue control over the state.
Governor Fubara stressed that detractors will continue to fail because, in his view, God has abandoned them. “I will always stand for what is right. I have never directed any security agents to engage in wrongdoing, and I don’t need to,” he said. “They keep failing because God’s grace has left them.”
The Governor reiterated his commitment to standing up for the truth and defending the people of Rivers State. He emphasized that he will not compromise his values for anyone. “I will not mortgage my kidney or my liver. Those who think they can force me to do so are wasting their time.”
He further asserted that no one can apologize on his behalf or change his stance on matters of right and wrong. Governor Fubara vowed to remain steadfast, even if it means standing alone for the truth.
According to him, look let me tell you, nobody can apologize for me as a matter of fact, I belong that school of thought that if I am the only person that need to stand on that side of right, I will stand there.
Meanwhile, NN News Media recalls a recent statement by former Rivers State Governor and current FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, during a reception with some Ijaw in Port Harcourt in his honor. Wike noted, Who has Fubara made? “What you see today is envy from those who couldn’t achieve what we are doing. We’ve defeated these individuals politically before, and we’ll defeat them again if the opportunity arises.”
