An upset has occurred in Enugu, with Labour Party (LP) stopping the senate bid by incumbent two-term governor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

Results announced Sunday evening by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) saw the Labour Party Candidate, Barr. Okey Ezea, defeating Governor Ugwuanyi, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to emerge Senator-Elect for Enugu North Senatorial Zone. (News Express)
