President Bola Tinubu has declared that his political enemies are using the deadly insecurity across Nigeria to force him out of power.

He made the statement during a closed door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja with Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang and a delegation of elders from the state.

Tinubu told the group that some people are behind the ongoing violence and killings in different parts of the country. He said these trouble makers want to use the insecurity to remove him from office. The president described himself as a stubborn politician who will not be pushed out easily.

He added that he has no plans to leave and will actively campaign for a second term in office. Tinubu assured the Plateau leaders that his government will deal firmly with anyone found to be instigating or sponsoring killings in the state.

The president urged the governor and elders to report the names of any known agent provocateurs or trouble makers so that the full powers of his office can be used against them. He promised strong action to stop the violence affecting communities in Plateau and other states.

This meeting comes at a time when many parts of Nigeria continue to face serious security challenges including banditry, farmer herder clashes, and terrorist attacks that have led to hundreds of deaths and displaced thousands of people.

The video clip from the meeting has sparked massive backlash online with many Nigerians calling the comments insensitive and tone deaf. Critics say the president should focus on solving the insecurity problem instead of framing it as a personal political attack from enemies. Others accused him of showing more concern for his re election than for the lives of ordinary citizens suffering from hunger, poverty and daily violence.

The video has generated heated debate across the country with thousands of reactions pouring in on social media.
