Street singer Habeeb Okikiola Badmus better known as Portable has caused big outrage with a strong video message about the 2027 election.

In the viral clip he warned that Nigerians who want peace must vote for President Bola Tinubu or the country will face war.

Portable said if you do not want war in Nigeria you better vote for Tinubu. He added that thunder and the Yoruba deity Ogun will strike and kill any Yoruba person who refuses to vote for Tinubu. He claimed such people will perish forever.

In the same video Portable admitted that the ruling All Progressives Congress has signed him on as a supporter. He said they gave him APC clothes and promised that very soon he will start sharing rice and palm oil to voters as part of the campaign.

The message which came out around March 22 2026 has sparked a lot of anger and criticism online. Many people called the statements dangerous fear-mongering and ethnic intimidation. Others said it is not right to mix politics with spiritual threats or curses especially when targeting one ethnic group.

Portable who is known for his wild lifestyle and often controversial talks made the remarks while looking straight at the camera with his usual colourful hairstyle and face markings.

So far neither the presidency nor the APC has commented on Portable words. The video has spread widely on social media with mixed reactions some people laughing it off as typical Portable drama while others see it as a serious threat that could heat up ethnic tensions ahead of 2027.

This is the latest in a series of strong political statements from different voices as Nigeria moves closer to the next general elections. Many citizens are calling for calm and urging leaders to focus on real issues instead of threats and division.
