Nkiruka Nistoran, the online publisher of NN News Media, has taken to X to address Governor Mbah directly.

Dear Governor Mbah,

I am writing to inquire about your next online space. I have a critical question regarding the ongoing demolition in Enugu State that I would like to ask you directly.

I kindly request that you host an urgent space to address this issue and not ignore this call, as it is of great importance, Thank you.

Recently, the Enugu State High Court granted an ex parte order restraining the state government from demolishing properties belonging to Ifesinachi Transport Limited located at the popular Ogige Market in the Nsukka area of the state. The decision to demolish portions of the Ogige Market triggered widespread condemnation, as traders and other close watchers criticized the state government for allegedly giving traders only a 72-hour notice to vacate the market.

The court’s pronouncement in the suit (No. N/30M/20234) granted an interim injunction restraining the defendants from interfering with the properties mentioned in the suit until the motion on notice had been heard. The order specifically protects the properties known as No SIA Enugu Road, Nsukka, Enugu State (also known as Ifesinachi Transport Company park, Nsukka)
