In a strategic move ahead of the 2027 presidential election, political economist Pat Utomi discloses plans for key opposition figures – Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso – to unite forces and establish a formidable mega party. Utomi aims to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and redirect Nigeria’s political course towards a more inclusive and productive future.
During an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today, Utomi emphasized the urgent need to rescue ordinary Nigerians from what he characterizes as the grip of the APC, describing it as a private enterprise controlled by a select few.

“We are looking at a way Nigeria can work for everybody,” Utomi stated. He called for the creation of a political entity capable of bringing crucial issues to the forefront and fostering consensus among the Nigerian populace for effective problem-solving. Utomi underscored the importance of moving away from self-serving politics, emphasizing the need for leaders willing to selflessly contribute to nation-building.
