In a groundbreaking move towards technological advancement and regional development, the non-governmental organization Peace in South East Project (PISE-P) has announced a strategic collaboration with Neuo Mobile Communication and Technology Limited, alongside partnerships with tech giants Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. PISE-P, spearheaded by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, focuses on a non-kinetic approach to address security challenges in the Southeast region.

During a meeting with a delegation from the tech group, Deputy Speaker Kalu applauded their innovation and commitment to navigating the ever-evolving world of technology. Emphasizing the pivotal role of technology in 21st-century youth employment, Kalu expressed enthusiasm for the proposed collaboration with Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, highlighting the potential benefits for southeast indigenes and creative minds nationwide.

In a statement provided to THE WHISTLER, Deputy Speaker Kalu conveyed his optimism, stating, “I see greatness in this mustard seed, I see great opportunities out there. It’s about time we prove to our people that we are better than the hands we use in holding guns; the same hands can build innovative solutions to our problems.”

Acknowledging the importance of the partnership, Kalu assured the delegation of PISE-P’s commitment to being a catalyst for positive change. He emphasized the organization’s role as a mouthpiece, advocating for the needs of the youth and showcasing their potential to contribute meaningfully through technology.

NEUO Executive Director, Business and Development, Joseph Asuquo, presented the company’s products during the meeting. Asuquo outlined the innovative technology developed by NEUO, including an interactive system designed to facilitate electronic participation in parliamentary proceedings and committee assignments, eliminating the cumbersome use of paper.

In addition to expressing support for PISE-P, Asuquo proposed a tech summit in collaboration with Google, Amazon, and Microsoft to educate the youth in the southeast on various skills, providing them with employment opportunities. As the partnership unfolds, the collaborative efforts between PISE-P and these tech giants hold the promise of transformative change and technological empowerment for the region and the nation as a whole.
