Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, recently shared his admiration for Sherrie Silver, the Rwandan-born British choreographer, dancer, and philanthropist, via his X handle.

“I had the honor of joining other esteemed guests, young artists, speakers, and change-makers from across Africa and beyond to witness the remarkable work that Sherrie Silver is doing through her foundation,” Obi stated.

Obi praised Silver’s dedication to uplifting communities through entertainment, choreography, dance, and music. He emphasized how her commitment to using education and healthcare as tools to combat poverty deeply resonates with him.

“For me, Africa is not just a continent of challenges; it is a continent of limitless possibilities and opportunities,” Obi continued, highlighting the importance of tapping into the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of African youth.

Expressing his gratitude, Obi referred to Silver as his “dear little sister” and acknowledged her tireless efforts in making a meaningful impact on humanity. He described her work as a source of inspiration for his own vision of a new, thriving Africa, particularly a New Nigeria, and assured her of his unwavering support.
