Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, reaffirmed his commitment to advancing health and education in Nigeria as key pillars of national development.

In a recent post, Obi shared his support for two educational institutions in Anambra State.

On his visit to Peter University in Achina, Obi made a generous financial contribution of N50 million to the institution, highlighting his belief that both health and education are fundamental tools in alleviating poverty and driving progress. He later visited the College of Nursing Sciences in Adazi Nnukwu, where he donated an additional N10 million to further strengthen these critical sectors.

These donations are part of Obi’s ongoing efforts to support Nigeria’s development through targeted investments in education, healthcare, and poverty reduction. He emphasized that a nation can only progress when its workforce is healthy and educated. With Nigeria’s predominantly youthful population, Obi stressed the importance of investing in these areas to ensure the future success and productivity of the country.

“I remain confident that a New and Productive Nigeria is possible,” Obi concluded, expressing gratitude to the management, staff, and students of both institutions for their contributions to the health and education sectors.
