Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has reaffirmed his commitment to education and digital literacy by supporting students in Adamawa State.
During a visit to Saint Augustine College, Mayo-Belwa, Obi provided students with 10 laptops and a printer to enhance their computer science and information technology skills. This gesture followed his visit to the Almajiri school in Yola, reflecting his dedication to uplifting education in underserved areas.
“Supporting education by equipping students with the right tools and resources is not just a responsibility but a necessity for building a better future,” Obi stated. He expressed admiration for the students’ enthusiasm for learning, describing it as both encouraging and inspiring.
Obi emphasized the importance of initiatives like these in empowering the next generation, bridging the digital divide, and fostering innovation and excellence in schools. “This is the type of commitment we need for sustainable growth and the advancement of our society,” he noted.
